Yallingup beach

From sleepy coastal settlement to the dizzy heights of Hollywood (The Surfer, 2024), Yallingup beach has made its mark as the place to be for a stay down south. And it’s not hard to see why – anyone who has been to “Yalls” is enchanted by the breathtaking vista on the drive in, locals and visitors alike. It certainly never gets old! Yallingup delivers the ultimate laid-back, beachy vibes for a relaxing holiday, with something for everyone just on the doorstep – the lagoon provides sheltered, safe swimming and the perfect snorkelling opportunity; mainbreak is where you will find the keen surfers paddling out; and the dog beach is spacious enough for everyone to enjoy alongside our furry friends. Venture out in the car for more spectacular local swim and surf spots such as Injidup, Smith’s and Yallingup aquarium. With a great local pub (Cave’s House Hotel), tasty brekkie spot/seafood restaurant (Lagoon), quality bakery (Yallingup Gugelhupf), epic General Store, and fun foreshore playground, visitors will find Yallingup meets their every need to disconnect and unwind.

Yallingup hills

The beautiful bush-laden Yallingup hinterland, known as the hills, is an absolute treasure trove of gastronomical delights and fabulous activities to entertain the whole family. When it comes to enjoying the natural wonders nearby, visitors can choose from a wealth of stunning beaches (as mentioned above), a number of stunning sunset and whale watching spots (Sugarloaf Rock, Canal Rocks, Wyadup Rock/Injidup Natural Spa, Three Bears), hike sections of the Cape to Cape Track or enjoy a hearty bush walk through one of the many valleys. This inland area is thick with bush and the serenity that comes by being surrounded by uninterrupted nature, which is perhaps why most of the area’s day spas and retreats can be found here. It is also rife with excellent wineries, with most to be found lining Caves Road to the South, and others tucked down quieter roads, waiting to be discovered by the more intrepid imbibers. Not to be missed during a stay here is a long lunch at Wild Hop Brewing Co, coffee and chocolate at Commonage Coffee Co / Yallingup Chocolate and family fun at the Yallingup Maze.
